About NeIMA

The Northeast India Music Award (NeIMA) is a premier platform dedicated to celebrating the rich musical heritage, diversity, and emerging talents of the eight states of Northeast India. Instituted and managed by HarmonyX Entertainment, NeIMA serves as a unifying stage where artists, creators, and industry professionals come together to honor excellence in music across all genres.

With a vision to elevate Northeast Indian music to the national and global arena, NeIMA is committed to recognizing outstanding artistry, inspiring creativity, and promoting cultural pride through a grand annual award celebration.

Rules & Eligibility

  • Eligibility period: recordings/releases must have been publicly released and distributed within the NeIMA eligibility window. Evidence of release date required.
  • Who may submit: artists, record labels, media companies, or authorized representatives may submit entries via this portal.
  • One entry per recording/per category. Enter in the category that best fits the work; screening committees may reclassify if needed.
  • Only works with demonstrable human authorship are eligible; purely AI-generated works are ineligible.
  • Credits: all contributors (artists, producers, engineers, songwriters, featured performers) must be listed in the submission.
  • Screening: NeIMA’s screening team will check eligibility and category placement before entries appear on the ballot.
  • Showcase requirement: If a work is among the Top 5 in its category, the artist(s) must be available to perform a live showcase during the Grand Finale (or nominate a certified performance proxy). Failure to appear may affect final voting or prize acceptance.
  • Nomination & Voting: There will be Online Voting that will determine the PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD.

Nomination Open: Dec 1, 2025 — Jan 15, 2026
Screening & Category Placement: Jan 16 — Jan 31, 2026
Listing of the Nominees on the Website/Social Media: Feb 1, 2026 (Voting Starts for the People’s Choice Award)
Voting Closes on Feb 15, 2026
Grand Finale — Gala Night (Red Carpet): Feb 28, 2026 (Venue to be disclosed soon)
